North Syracuse is a small village of about 7,000 people located in Onondaga County, NY, and forms a suburb of greater Syracuse. Originally called Centerville, it was given its current name in 1880 and first incorporated as a separate village in 1925. It's the home of the first plank road in the U.S., which first opened in 1846, and some of its earliest settlers, the Ferguson Family, still live on the same land in the Village Center.
Besides honoring their roots, people here treasure their local amenities like Onondaga Lake Park, Vince's Gourmet Imports, and family fun at Surf City. They enjoy a good local brew at Full Boar Craft Brewery & Tap Room or IBU Brewery. Of course, they want a great car to get there, and for a quality Buick dealer near North Syracuse, NY, they trust Bill Rapp Buick GMC.
